Prices of copper and nickel rose by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous base metals market today due to increased industrial demand amid a firm global trend.
Traders said besides increased industrial demand, firm global trend as stockpiles declined amid disruptions in Indonesia, mainly led to rise in copper and nickel prices.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months gained 0.4 per cent to 7,236.50 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
