Copper prices fell by 0.19 per cent to Rs 403.20 per kg in futures trade today, as traders trimmed positions amid subdued demand at the domestic spot markets.
Analysts attributed the fall in copper futures to a weak trend in base metal at the domestic spot markets due to slackened demand form consuming industries.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in April fell by 75 paise, or 0.19 per cent, to Rs 403.20 per kg, in a business turnover of 381 lots.
The metal for delivery in far-month June also fell by 40 paise, or 0.10 per cent, to trade at Rs 406.50 per kg in a turnover of 18 lots.
