Copper recovers on renewed demand

Copper, brass sheet cutting and lead prices recovered at the non-ferrous metal market here today on stockists' buying amid renewed demand from industries.

Copper scrap heavy and copper sheet cutting rose by Rs 4 per kg each to Rs 397 and Rs 385 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 393 and Rs 381.

Copper cable scrap, copper armiture, copper wire bar and lead climbed by Rs 3 per kg each to Rs 403, Rs 391, Rs 431 and Rs 156 from Rs 400, Rs 388, Rs 428 and Rs 153, respectively.

Copper utensils scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 361 from Rs 359.
 

Brass sheet cutting edged up by Re 1 per kg to Rs 321.

However, zinc softened by Re 1 per kg to Rs 231.
