Copper remains weak on tepid demand

Copper prices eased further by Rs 3 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today on the back of muted demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market.

However, other base metals traded in a narrow range in limited deals and settled around previous levels.

Traders said easing demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market kept pressure on copper prices.

In the national capital, copper mixed scrap declined by Rs 3 to Rs 370 per kg.

Following are today's metal rates (in Rs per kg):

Zinc ingot Rs 108-114, Nickel plate (4x4) Rs 838-843, gun metal scrap Rs 227, Bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 370, chadri deshi Rs 295.
 

Lead ingot Rs 93, lead imported Rs 99, aluminium ingots Rs 156, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 152, aluminium wire scrap Rs 152 and aluminium utensils scrap Rs 150.
