Copper prices moved up by Rs 2 per kg at the local non-ferrous base metals market today on increased industrial demand and a firm global trend.
Traders said buying activity in copper picked up after it climbed in global markets as London Metal Exchange stockpiles fell to the lowest level since December 2012, ahead of the return of more Chinese traders next week, mainly influenced the metal prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap rose by Rs 2 to Rs 446 per kg.
