Copra edible drops in lacklustre trade

Copra edible Mumbai dropped further in an otherwise lacklustre spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers.

All other spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activities.

Copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,500 from Monday's close at Rs 9,600.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):

Black pepper (per kg) 540/630 (540/630), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (120), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 9,000 (9,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,900 (8,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,300 (10,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,500 (9,600).
