Copra edible gains on firm demand, pepper, ginger declines

Copra edible prices gained further at the spices market here today due to firm demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached prices declined due to lack of buying support.

Copra office Alapuzha, copra Kozhikode and copra Rajapur all ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying support.

Copra edible climbed by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 13,200 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 13,100.

However, black pepper, ginger bleached and unbleached all slipped by Rs 10 per kilo each to Rs 730/780, Rs 325 and Rs 340 from Rs 740/790, Rs 335 and Rs 350, respectively.
