Copra edible recovers on renewed demand; black pepper declines

Copra edible recovered smartly at the spices market here today on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Black pepper declined due subdued demand from exporters.

Rest of the spices ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying.

Copra edible surged by Rs 800 per quintal to Rs 12,000 from Monday's closing level of Rs 11,200.

Black pepper fell by Rs 20/20 per kg to Rs 750/790 as against Rs 770/810 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 750/790 (770/810), ginger bleached (per kg) 350 (350), ginger unbleached (per kg) 370 (370), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,900 (10,900), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,800 (10,800), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 14,500 (14,500), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 12,000 (11,200).
