Copra edible weakens in listless trade

Copra edible Mumbai weakened in an otherwise listless spices market here today on poor offtake from stockists and retailers.

All other spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Copra edible Mumbai dropped by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,800 from Monday's closing level of Rs 9,900.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 515/600 (515/600), ginger unbleached (per kg) 120 (120), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,400 (9,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,300 (9,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,300 (10,300), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,800 (9,900).
