Copra ends mixed amid sluggish demand

Copra Rajapur prices dropped in an otherwise mute spices market here today due to reduced offtake by stockists and exporters amid lower upcountry demand.

On the other hand, copra edible moved up on renewed buying from domestic consumers.

Rest of the spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying support.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai declined by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 9,700 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 9,800.

Copra edible Mumbai, however edged up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 9,150 as compared to Rs 9,100 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (530/575), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,500 (8,500), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,400 (8,400), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,700 (9,800), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,150 (9,100).
