Copra firms up on good demand

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra edible Mumbai and copra Rajapur Mumbai firmed up at the spices market here today owing to good demand from stockists and retailers.

While, black pepper rd and ginger unbleached edged down owing to mild demand from stockists and retailers.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai gained further by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 17,000 from Monday's close at Rs 16,500 and copra edible Mumbai advanced by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 14,000 as against Rs 13,800 yesterday.

Copra office Alappuzha and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 300 per quintal each to Rs 12,500 and Rs 12,300 as compared to Rs 12,200 and Rs 12,000 yesterday.
 

Black pepper rd softened by a Re per kg to Rs 410/490 and ginger unbleached inched down to Rs 130 per kg, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 410/490 (411/491), ginger unbleached (per kg) 130 (131), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 12,500 (12,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 12,300 (12,000), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 17,000 (16,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 14,000 (13,800).
