Copra firms up on rising demand

Copra office Alappuzha, copra office Kozhikode, copra rajapur mumbai and copra edible mumbai firmed up further at the spices market here today on rising demand by stockists and retailers as well as sustained export offtake.

While, other spices maintained steday trend in the absence of necessary buying activity.

Copra office Alappuzha surged by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 9,200 from Monday's close Rs 8,800 and copra office Kozhikode rose by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 9,000 as against Rs 8,700 yesterday.

Whereas, copra rajapur mumbai also advanced by Rs 300 per quintal to Rs 11,000 as compared Rs 10,700 and copra edible mumbai moved up by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 10,000 from Rs 9,800.

Black pepper (per kg) 700/770 (700/770), ginger bleached (per kg) 135 (135), ginger unbleached (per kg) 155 (155), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 9,200 (8,800), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 9,000 (8,700), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 11,000 (10,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (9,800).
