Copra Kozhikode edges up on good demand; pepper, ginger gain

Copra office Kozhikode prices edged up at the Spices market here today due to good demand from stockists and retailers.

Elsewhere, ginger and black pepper gained on robust demand from exporters and upcountry advices.

Meanwhile, rest of all spices ruled stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Copra office Kozhikode prices moved-up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 9,050 from Tuesday's closing level of Rs 9,000.

Black pepper climbed by Rs 10/25 per to Rs 555/610 as against Rs 545/585 previously.

Ginger bleached and unbleached advanced by Rs 15 and Rs 25 per kg each to Rs 265 and Rs 285 from Rs 250 and Rs 260 respectively.
