Copra Kozhikode gains in sluggish trade

Copra Kozhikode gained in an otherwise sluggish Spices market here today on fresh demand from retailers and better export offtake.

However, copra Alapuzha and copra Rajapur Mumbai declined on lower offtake from stockists amid ample supply position.

Rest all other spices ruled stable in the absence of any largescal buying activity.

Copra office Kozhikode rose Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 6,000 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 5,900.

While, copra Rajapur Mumbai fell Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,000 from overnight close of Rs 10,200 and copra office Alapuzha eased Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 5,900 from Rs 6,000.

Black pepper (per kg) 735/805 (735/805), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 5,900 (6,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 6,000 (5,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,000 (10,200), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,400 (7,400).
