Copra prices decline on subdued demand

Copra prices declined further at the spices market here today following subdued demand from stockists and retailers.

However, black pepper and ginger unbleached ruled stable in the absence of any large scale buying activity.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai and copra edible Mumbai fell by Rs 200 per quintal each to Rs 17,500 and Rs 15,800 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 17,700 and Rs 16,000.

Copra office Alappuzha and copra office Kozhikode prices moved down by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 14,200 and Rs 14,100 as against Rs 14,300 and Rs 14,200, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 450/550 (450/550), ginger unbleached (per kg) 125 (125), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 14,200 (14,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 14,100 (14,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 17,500 (17,700), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 15,800 (16,000).
