Copra prices recover on renewed demand

Copra Alapuzha, copra Kozhikode and copra edible prices recoved at the spices market here today due to fresh offtake from stockists and millers amid robust demand from industrial buyers.

Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger and copra Rajapur held stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,500 and Rs 8,400 from last weekend's level of Rs 8,400 and Rs 8,300, respectively.

Copra edible Mumbai also firmed up by Rs 50 per quintal to Rs 9,200 as compared to Rs 9,150 previously.

Black pepper (per kg) 530/575 (530/575), ginger bleached (per kg) 205 (205), ginger unbleached (per kg) 215 (215), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 8,500 (8,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 8,400 (8,300), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,700 (9,700), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,200 (9,150).
