Copra prices surge on heavy demand

Copra prices surged at the spices market here today on heavy demand from stockist and millers amidst good retail offtake.

Rest of the spices maintained a stable trend in the absence of any worthwhile trading.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai shot-up by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 6,250 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 6,100.

Copra office Alapuzha climbed by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 4,900 from Rs 4,800.

Copra office Kozhikode and copra edible Mumbai gained by Rs 50 per quintal each to Rs 4,800 and Rs 5,900 as against Rs 4,750 and Rs 5850 previously.
