Copra Rajapur flares up on fresh demand, supply squeeze

Copra Rajapur prices rose sharply at the spices market here today on the backl of heavy buying from stockists and bulk traders amidst adequate supplies.

Elsewhere, copra edible also gained further owing to sustained demand from retail consumers as well as millers.

Copra Rajapur shot-up by Rs 1,000 per quintal to Rs 18,500 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 17,500.

Copra edible advanced by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 13,300 as against Rs 13,200 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 750/800 (750/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 320 (320), ginger unbleached (per kg) 335 (335), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,300 (10,300), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,200 (10,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 18,500 (17,500), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,300 (13,200).
