Copra Rajapur Mumbai recovers on fresh demand

Copra Rajapur Mumbai recovered at the spices market here today following fresh demand from stockists and retailers.

Black pepper, ginger unbleached softened owing to mild demand from stockists and retailers.

Rest all other spices ruled steady in the absence of necessary buying activity.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai regained by Rs 400 per quintal to Rs 17,400 from last Saturday's close Rs 17,000.

However, black pepper moved down by Rs 5 per kg to Rs 400/480 as against last weekend's close Rs 405/480.

Ginger unbleached also edged down by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 128 from Rs 130, previously.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs with previous rates in brackets):
 

Black pepper (per kg) 400/480 (405/480), ginger unbleached (per kg) 128 (130), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 14,000 (14,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 13,800 (13,800), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 17,400 (17,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 15,500 (15,500).
