Copra Rajapur mumbai surges in lacklustre trade

Copra Rajapur Mumbai surged in an otherwise lacklustre Spices market here today due to rising demand from stockists amidst restricted arrivals.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai gained by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 10,200 from last saturday's closing level of Rs 10,000.

Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger and all other copra varieties remained stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Following are today's closing rates (in Rs) with previous rates in brackets:

Black pepper (per kg) 735/805 (735/805), ginger bleached (per kg) 150 (150), ginger unbleached (per kg) 170 (170), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 6,000 (6,000), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 5,900 (5,900), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 10,200 (10,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 7,400 (7,400).
