Copra Rajapur plunges on stockists selling, good arrivals

Prices of copra Rajapur dropped sharply an otherwise steady spices market here on the back of heavy unwinding from stockists and speculative traders amid improved supplies.

Meanwhile, black pepper, ginger and all other copra varieties remained stable in the absence of necessary buying support.

Copra Rajapur retreated by a whopping Rs 1,000 per quintal to finish at Rs 19,000 against Thursday's level of Rs 20,000.

Black pepper (per kg) 765/815 (765/815), ginger bleached (per kg) 320 (320), ginger unbleached (per kg) 340 (340), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,700 (10,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,600 (10,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 19,000 (20,000), Copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,500 (13,500).
