Copra Rajapur slumps on lower demand

Copra Rajapur prices slumped at the spice market here on lower demand from stockists and exporters amid subdued upcountry offtake.

Meanwhile, copra edible recovered modestly on good buying from domestic consumers.

Rest of spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Copra Rajapur dipped by Rs 1,000 per quintal to Rs 21,000 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 22,000.

However, copra edible climbed by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 13,000 as compared to Rs 12,800 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 740/790 (740/790), ginger bleached (per kg) 250 (250), ginger unbleached (per kg) 270 (270), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,200 (10,200), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,100 (10,100), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 21,000 (22,000), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,000 (12,800).
