Copra Rajapur spurts on sustained demand

Copra Rajapur prices spurted at the spices market here today due to persistent demand from stockists and retailers amidst good export enquiries.

Elsewhere, copra edible recovered on renewed demand from stockists and retailers.

Meanwhile, copra office Alapuzha eased further on reduced offtake from exporters and upcountry advices.

Rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any major buying.

Copra Rajapur shot-up by Rs 1,000 per quintal to Rs 19,000 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 18,000.

Copra edible also climbed by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 13,200 from Rs 13,000, respectively.

However, copra office Alapuzha fell by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,400 as against Rs 10,500 previously.
