Copra slips on subdued demand

Prices of copra Rajapur, copra edible Mumbai, copra office Alapuzha and copra Kozhikode prices slipped at the spices market here today due to reduced demand from stockists and retailers amidst ample supplies.

Rest of the spices ruled stable in the absence of any large-scale buying activity.

Copra Rajapur Mumbai dipped by Rs 500 per quintal to Rs 21,000 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 21,500.

Copra edible fell by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 13,600 as against Rs 13,800 yesterday.

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode moved down by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 10,300 and Rs 10,100 as compared to Rs 10,400 and Rs 10,200, respectively.

Black pepper (per kg) 740/800 (740/800), ginger bleached (per kg) 225 (225), ginger unbleached (per kg) 245 (245), copra office Alapuzha (per quintal) 10,300 (10,400), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 10,100 (10,200), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 21,000 (21,500), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 13,600 (13,800).
