Copra weakens on lower demand

Copra office alapuzha, copra office kozhikode and copra edible mumbai weakened further at the spices market here today following lower demand from stockists and retailers amid poor export offtake.

While, rest of all spices ruled stable in absence of any worthwhile buying activity.

Copra office alapuzha and copra office kozhikode dropped by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 7,600 and Rs 7,500 from Wednesday's close Rs 7,700 and Rs 7,600.

Elsewhere, copra edible mumbai also declined by Rs 200 per quintal to Rs 9,200 as compared Rs 9,400 yesterday.

Black pepper (per kg) 710/775 (710/775), ginger bleached (per kg) 140 (140), ginger unbleached (per kg) 160 (160), copra office Alappuzha (per quintal) 7,600 (7,700), copra office Kozhikode (per quintal) 7,500 (7,600), copra Rajapur Mumbai (per quintal) 9,800 (9,800), copra edible Mumbai (per quintal) 9,200 (9,400).
