Senior Punjab police officials have been asked to work on several unsolved cases of bank robbery and cash van loot in the state.
Directions have been issued to all Inspectors General, DIGs and SSPs in the state and they have been asked to coordinate with each other to unearth organised criminal gangs, police said today.
These cases include robbery of Rs 1.33 crore from cash van of a private bank at Banur in May this year, Rs 37 lakh from ATM van at Nabha in 2014 and Rs 50 lakh cash from ATM in Kapurthala in 2015, an official informed.
A meeting of all the Superintendent of Police (Investigations) of all Commissionerates and districts was held recently in this connection.
