Coriander and red chilli prices rose further by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely influenced by rising demand from local parties and stockists amid fall in supplies from producing belts.

Further, firming trend in futures market and some export enquiries also supported the upside.

Coriander and red chilli prices increased by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 12,100-17,100 and Rs 8,000-15,700 per quintal, respectively.

Buying by local parties, stockists and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and chilli prices at the wholesale kirana market here, traders said.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs):

Ajwain (per kg) 155-190, black pepper (per kg) 600-750, betel-nut (kg) 300-350, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,780-1,810 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 2,000-2,100.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 800-860, cardamom (colour robin) 800-820, cardamom bold 810-830, cardamom extra (bold) 940-990 and cloves 780-850.
