Coriander and chilli prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on fall in supplies from producing belts against higher demand from stockists.

Further, rising exports enquiries supported the upside.

Coriander and chilli prices rose by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 11,600-16,600 and Rs 7,300-12,500 per quintal, respectively.

Buying by stockists and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts mainly pushed up coriander and chilli prices at the wholesale kirana market here, traders said.

Following are today's quotations:

Ajwain (per kg) 175-220, black pepper (per kg) 700-900, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,700-1,730 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,800-1,900.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 810-880, cardamom (colour robin) 750-790, cardamom bold 780-840, cardamom extra (bold) 990-1,020 and cloves 800-900.
