Coriander prices moved down by 2.73 per cent to Rs 6,697 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators indulged in reducing positions amid ample stocks position in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, coriander for delivery in May month fell Rs 188, or 2.73 per cent to Rs 6,697 per quintal with an open interest of 13,020 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in April contracts moved down by Rs 182, or 2.67 per cent to Rs 6,630 per quintal in 26,270 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by speculators amid ample stocks positions against sluggish spot market demand, mainly led to the fall in coriander prices at futures trade.
