Coriander prices were down by 0.92 per cent to Rs 6,882 per quintal in futures market today as speculators trimmed their positions, tracking subdued demand at the spot market.

Further, rising arrivals from major growing regions also weighed on coriander futures.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, coriander prices for delivery in current month declined by Rs 64 or 0.92 per cent to Rs 6,882 per quintal with an open interest of 7,720 lots.

On similar lines, the spice for delivery in July month contracts traded lower by Rs 57, or 0.82 per cent to Rs 6,917 per quintal in 12,560 lots.

Market analysts said offloading of positions by participants due to subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly influenced coriander prices at futures trade.
