Coriander prices on Wednesday fell by Rs 29 to Rs 6,831 per quintal in futures trade as speculators reduced their positions amid sluggish demand at the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, coriander contracts for January fell by Rs 29, or 0.42 per cent, to Rs 6,831 per quintal in 8,900 lots.

Similarly, coriander contracts for April delivery declined by Rs 62, or 0.84 per cent, to Rs 7,293 per quintal in 7,070 lots.

Market analysts said subdued demand by speculators in spot market mainly led to decline in coriander future prices.
