Coriander and kalaunji prices rose by up to Rs 200 per quintal in the national capital today largely on the back of buying support from retailers and stockists amidst low stocks.

Coriander and kalaunji prices rose up to Rs 200 to conclude at Rs 7,000-12,000 and Rs 10,200-14,200 per quintal.

Traders said buying support from retailers and stockists against tight stocks due to fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and kalaunji prices on the wholesale kirana market.

Following were today's quotations per quintal:

Ajwain 14,500-19,500, black pepper (per kg) 750-950, betel-nut (kg) 180-200, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,300-1,400 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,450-1,550.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 680-730, cardamom (colour robin) 660-720, cardamom bold 700-730, cardamom extra (bold) 880-930 and cloves (kg) 900-950.
