Coriander recovers on fresh buying

Coriander prices recovered by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today on emergence of stockists buying following uptick in demand from retailers.

However, other spices held steady in thin trade.

Traders said stockists buying on the back of a rise in demand from retailers, mainly pushed coriander prices higher.

Coriander went up by Rs 100 to Rs 5,900-11,900 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs):

Ajwain (per kg) 120-170, black pepper (per kg) 560-740, betel-nut (kg) 290-310, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 830-850 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 880-1,100.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 1,125-1,225, cardamom (colour robin) 930-950, cardamom bold 960-980, cardamom extra (bold) 1,080-1,100 and cloves 560-680.
