Coriander and turmeric prices rose by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today largely supported by fall in supplies from producing belts against higher demand from stockists.

Further, rising export enquiries also supported the upside.

Coriander and turmeric prices edged higher by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 10,900-15,900 and Rs 9,200-13,200 per quintal, respectively.

Buying by stockists and exporters against fall in supplies from producing belts, mainly pushed up coriander and turmeric prices at the wholesale kirana market here, traders said.

Following are today's quotations:

Ajwain (per kg) 150-180, black pepper (per kg) 700-875, betel-nut (kg) 280-330, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,690-1,740 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,790-1,890.

Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 840-910, cardamom (colour robin) 790-840, cardamom bold 800-860, cardamom extra (bold) 1,000-1,020 and cloves 830-880.
