Coronavirus: Thane wholesale market closed to reduce crowding

Shops in the wholesale market in

Jambli Naka in Thane district were closed on Friday to reduce crowding due to the novel coronavirus outbreak, officials said.

Merchants have been told to take orders online for retailers, they said.

Thane Municipal Commissioner Vijay Singhal has asked customers to follow social distancing norms while buying essential items, they added.
