A corporator has been arrested with Fake Indian Currency Notes by Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB) at Indo-Nepal border here, police said today.
Dharmendra Gupta, a member of Pachperwa Nagar Panchayat, was arrested last evening by SSB at Trilohpur outpost and fake currency notes, hidden under the seat of his motorcycle, were found, they said.
The notes were being smuggled from Nepal, Station Officer, Pachperwa police station, Afsar Parvez said.
The accused would be produced in the court today, he said.
