The Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike Corporator L Govindaraj was sentenced yesterday and a penalty of Rs 90,000 was also imposed on him.
Lokayukta court had convicted him for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs two lakh from complainant Uday Kumar for allowing a construction of fourth floor of a building.
He was convicted under 13(1)(d) and 13(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
