AAP MLA Mahendra Goyal today noted that "corruption and hooliganism" were checked after the party received a resounding victory in the Delhi assembly elections.

"After AAP formed the government in Delhi, corruption and hooliganism are being effectively tackled," Goyal, AAP MLA from Delhi's Rithala constituency said.

The MLA on a visit to Uchana city here for thanking the people for their support and campaigning for the Delhi elections, refuted claims of warring factions in the party.

There are no differences in the party, he said on being asked about the recent expulsion of Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan from Political Affairs Committee of the party.

Talking about the achievements of his party, he said that AAP government has already provided free water and halved the power rates in Delhi.

The party will fulfil all the promises it made to the people in Delhi elections, the MLA said.

On BJP's allegations of AAP receiving votes in Delhi elections due to support from other parties, he said that the BJP got all the 7 seats in Lok Sabha elections but it did not fulfil its promises, therefore the angry public handed over all its seats to AAP.

Noting that the Assembly elections were in distant future, he said that the party political advisory committee will take a decision regarding contesting elections in the state.

Citing Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's Haryana connection, he said many other MLAs in the party were also related to the state.

In a near-sweep, the Aam Aadmi Party decimated BJP and Congress by recording a landslide victory by securing 67 of the 70 seats in the Delhi assembly elections last month.
