The BJP today alleged that corruption was no more an issue with Sharad Yadav and former Jharkhand chief minister Babulal Marandi, a day after the two leaders met RJD chief Lalu Prasad at Birsa jail here.

"Corruption is no more an issue for leaders like Sharad Yadav and Babulal Marandi, who have bowed down to Lalu Prasad to save their political ground," BJPs spokesman Praveen Prabhakar said in a press release.

Yesterday Sharad Yadav and Marandi had met the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, who is at present lodged at the Birsa Munda Central Jail here.

"It is unfortunate that Sharad Yadav and Marandi have taken Lalu Prasad as their leader even after the court found the latter guilty in financial irregularity," Prabhakar added.

The two leaders, Sharad Yadav and Marandi, should make it clear whether corruption was an issue for them or not, he asked.
