Bandam Buchaiah (45), a cotton farmer of Annaram village under Mahadevpur police limits in Karimnagar district, nearly 110 km from here, had raised cotton crop in his agricultural land, the police said.
He had borrowed amounts from private financiers, but he could not get good returns on his cotton crop due to water scarcity.
Afraid to face his creditors to repay his loans, he took the extreme step of ending his life, the police said.
He had married off his daughter recently.
The police has registered a case and an investigation is on, the police said.
