Cottonseed oil cake prices were down by another Rs 8 to Rs 1,925 per quintal in futures trading today as speculators engaged in trimming their holdings in tandem with a weak trend at the domestic spot market.
Marketmen said continues offloading of positions by participants, tracking a weak trend at the sot markets due to subdued demand mainly kept pressure on cottonseed oil cake prices in futures trade here.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oil cake for delivery in July slashed by Rs 8 or 0.41 per cent to Rs 1,925 per quintal, in an open interest of 37,410 lots.
On similar lines, delivery in current month it fell by Rs 7 or 0.37 per cent to Rs 1,884 per quintal, having an open interest of 98,050 lots.
