In restricted activity, cottonseed oil prices rose by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today.
However, other edible and non-edible oils traded in a tight range in scattered deals and settled at around previous levels.
Traders said increased buying by millers and retailers mainly led to rise in cottonseed oil prices.
Cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil rose by Rs 50 to Rs 6,250 per quintal. The following were today's quotations per quintal:
Oilseeds: Mustardseed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.
Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 1,120-1,340.
Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 7,300, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,900-1,950, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,000, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,290-1,370, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,375-1,475, Sunflower 6,300, Sesame Mill Delivery 10,000, Soybean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 7,450, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 7,250, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 5,750, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 6,250, Palmolein (RBD) Rs 6,750, Palmolein (Kandla) 6,400, Rice Bran (phy) 3,800 and Coconut (per tin) 1,900-1,950.
Non-edible oils: Linseed 7,450, Mahuwa 4,000, Castor 9,400-9,500, Neem 5,300-5,400, Rice Bran 3,150-3,250 and Palm Fatty 3,200-3,300.
Oilcakes: Groundnut Dehusk 800-850, Sesame 950-1,150, Mustard (New) 1,000-1,025, Mustard 1,200-1,210 and Cottonseed 1,075-1,175.
