Cottonseed oil slide on low demand

Barring a fall in cottonseed oil prices owing to subdued demand, other edible and non-edible oils remained steady at the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today in thin trade.

Traders said adequate stocks position against slackened demand mainly led to the decline in cottonseed oil prices.

In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil fell by Rs 50 to Rs 5,800 per quintal.

Following are today's quotations (in Rs per quintal):

Oilseeds: Mustard seed 2,950-3,050 and Groundnut Seed 2,150-2,900.

Vanaspati Ghee (15-litre tin) 930-1,100.

Edible oils: Groundnut Mill Delivery (Gujarat) 8,250, Groundnut Solvent Refined (per tin) 1,350-1,400, Mustard expeller (Dadri) 7,820, Mustard Pakki Ghani (per tin) 1,250- 1,300, Mustard Kachi Ghani (per tin) 1,300-1,400, sesame mill delivery 7,500, Soyabean Refined Mill Delivery (Indore) 6,850, Soyabean Degum (Kandla) 6,550, Crude Palm Oil (Ex-Kandla) 4,300, Cottonseed Mill Delivery (Haryana) 5,800, Palmolein (RBD) 5,900, Palmolein (Kandla) 5,750 and Coconut (per tin) 2,350-2,400.
 

Non-edible oils: Linseed 8,400, Castor 9,700-9,800, Neem 5,350-5,450.
