Prices of cottonseed oil rose by Rs 100 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today on the back of rising demand from retailers.
Coconut oil also moved up largely in line with an upward trend at producing regions and local demand.
Traders said increased demand from retailers and a firming trend at producing belts mainly led to rise in cottonseed and coconut oil prices.

In the national capital, cottonseed mill delivery (Haryana) oil rose by Rs 100 to Rs 6,400 per quintal.
Coconut oil also shot up by Rs 100 to Rs 2,000-2,050 per tin.
