Cottonseed oilcake prices were down by Rs 24 to Rs 2,197 per quintal in future trading today after participants cut down their positions amid a weak trend at the physical markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in March month dipped by Rs 24, or 1.08 per cent, to Rs 2,197 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,09,180 lots.
Likewise, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in current month slipped by Rs 22, or 1.00 per cent, to Rs 2,176 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,570 lots.
Marketmen said, a weak demand and comfortable stocks position at spot markets, triggered offloading of positions by participants led to the fall in cottonseed oilcake prices.
