Cottonseed oilcake prices rebounded by Rs 7 to Rs 2,235 per quintal in futures trade today as speculators covered-up their short positions.
Marketmen said the rise in cottonseed oilcake prices at futures trade was mostly supported by covering-up of short positions by speculators.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake delivery for delivery in June recovered Rs 7, or 0.31 per cent, to Rs 2,235 per quintal, having an open interest of 63,490 lots.
Also, delivery in July contract was trading higher by Rs 3, or 0.13 per cent, to Rs 2,271 per quintal, in an open interest of 28,100 lots.
