Cottonseed oilcake prices were down by another Rs 21 to Rs 2,229 per quintal in futures trading today as participants trimmed their positions amid a weak trend at the physical markets sentiment.
Marketmen said the fall in cottonseed oilcake prices was mostly attributed to off-loading of positions amid a weak trend at the spot markets on higher supplies.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, cottonseed oilcake for delivery in March contract lost another Rs 21 or 0.93 per cent to Rs 2,229 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 1,12,210 lots.
In a similar manner, delivery in current month contract delivery was trading down by Rs 18 or 0.81 per cent to Rs 2,197 per quintal, with the business turnover of 3,780 open lots.
