Karnataka Legislative Council today passed Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Science University (amendment) Bill 2014, The Karnataka Municipalities and Certain Other Law(Amendment) Bill 2014 and The Karnataka Court Fees And Suits Valuation (Amendment) Bill 2014.
The Indian Succession (Karnataka Amendment) Bill 2014 and The Karnataka Essential Services Maintenance Bill 2013 were also passed. The Assembly passed all these bills earlier.
Members of main opposition BJP were in the well of the House when the bills were introduced and passed without debate.
BJP was protesting against not being allowed to debate on three Karnataka ministers, whom it called "tainted" over corruption and land grab charges.
