Four persons were today arrested for their alleged involvement in an inter-state fake currency racket and seized Rs 28,900 notes from their possession here, the police said.
The four belonged to - Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh - and were making transactions in the district while trading in cattle, cotton and paddy, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Y Jagannath Rao said.
On a tip off, the police raided their places here and seized counterfeit currency notes in denomination of Rs 1,000, Rs 500 and Rs 100 besides a colour printer, colour cartridges and mobile phones, Rao said.

Rao said a syndicate was suspected to have been involved in the inter-state racket and people from Odisha were suspected to be in the racket.
Efforts were on to nab those involved, he added.
