A man and his family were today arrested at Mendhar tehsil here after they allegedly entered India from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) via Nepal border illegally.

Mohammed Aziz, his wife Rashida Bi and daughter Hajiza Bi were nabbed at Mendhar tehsil of Poonch district after they returned from PoK using Nepal border without valid documents, a police officer said.

The Aziz family had crossed over to PoK in 1947. They had visited their relatives in Mendhar in March this year using the cross-border bus service, the officer said.

"We have arrested the family...," he said.

Further investigation and questioning would reveal the motive behind their return, the officer added.
